At Nutspoker we understand that our Nuts sometimes need an asylum!
Players who are just beginning to learn how to play poker need a little protection from the hungry sharks swarming out there. With this in mind we've set up regular tournaments allowing new players to play amongst themselves, without fear of a shark attack!

The Nuts Asylum tournaments are restricted tournaments running every Sunday at 10:00 and 16:00 GMT. Participation is restricted to players who have registered an account within the previous 90 days, therefore entitling only new players to a safe place in one of the Nuts Asylum events. This provides new Nuts with the perfect opportunity to experience a real money tournament environment without the disadvantage of playing against experienced sharks!

The Nuts Asylum events are No Limit Texas Hold'em multi-table tournaments. There is no entry fee, but a prize pool of $50, with the top ten finishers being paid.

Each participant begins with the same amount of chips and one by one players are eliminated from the tournament as they lose all their chips. As this happens tables are also removed from the tournament as required. When a table is broken up the computer automatically moves players to other tables at random - so don't be surprised if all of a sudden you find yourself at a new table with new players, this is just part of the process of a multi-table poker tournament.
In the end only one player will be left, having accumulated all the chips in play, thereby winning the tournament. However, while there can only be one champion, there will be several players finishing "in the money" - you don't necessarily have to win the entire tournament to pick up a cash prize!

How to register for a tournament
You can find the Nuts Asylum tournaments in the navigation menu on the left of the poker software; open the Scheduled Tournaments tab and click on Beginners.
Select the tournament you wish to play in from the list displayed and click on the Go To Tournament button in the bottom right corner of the screen, then on the Register button.
Confirm your registration in the pop-up window and wait for the tournament to start.
Make sure you have the poker software running before the tournament begins and you will automatically be assigned a place at one of the tables.
